It takes proper merchandising, hard
work, and careful selection of garments to make
Second Time Around and our consignors successful.
The purpose of this information is to save you time and
money by helping you choose and prepare your clothing
for consignment.
No appointment is necessary, but please call before
bringing merchandise to verify that we are currently
taking items.
All garments must be freshly laundered or dry
cleaned, fragrance free, pressed, and on hangers
to be accepted. Hangers will be given upon request.
Jean or sweaters may be folded or laid flat.
We will not accept items brought in garbage bags, totes,
wrinkled, etc.
We accept the following items: ladies, maternity,
uniforms, men's, and children's apparel, shoes, purses,
small household items, movies, and jewelry.
We do not accept formal wear.
Due to the size of our store, we are only able to accept
items for the current season.
Clothing needs to be current styles and name-brands,
gently used, or new. Items should be no older than 2
years old.
We do not accept items from Wal-Mart, K Mart, Target,
etc. in order to bring you better name-brands.
Please be sure to inspect your items for any tears,
missing or broken buttons, moth holes, broken zippers,
fading, or obvious wear. Items should be free of odors
such as cigarette smoke and perfumes that would make
them undesirable.
Remember, Second Time Around, is a "selective
consignment company." If items are not in excellent
condition they WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
You may designate items not accepted to be donated to
charity. A tax donation receipt will be given to you
upon request for these items.
There is no pick up of items once they are left!
Any item that is not sold by the end of the season will
automatically be donated and a tax receipt will be given
upon request.
Our store closes for a two-week period twice a year to
change merchandise to the new season. You may
contact us
to find out the dates of the changeover.
We strive to present and market your quality, name-brand
clothing to achieve the maximum return possible for you.
There will be regular sales, special coupons, and
promotions to help sell your items.
Please understand that our customers' preferences must
be our selection guideline.
